Eastleigh College

Eastleigh College located on Chestnut Road is a community college providing further education and training to students and school leavers.

Ofsted awarded Outstanding to the college following inspections in 2006 and 2011 and received star recognition by The Sunday Times as one of the best places to work in the public sector.

A £13 million redevelopment project at the college created new workshops, classrooms and studios with facilities for Motor Vehicle, Plumbing, Electrical Installation, Construction, Built Environment, Engineering, Art & Design and Hair & Beauty.  There is also a new suite of classrooms for Health, Social Care and Child Care and a new Gas Assessment Centre.

Other improvements saw a pedestrian friendly campus and new social areas.  The main foyers improved disabled access.

Eastleigh College has a fitness room and runs various sports teams.

All students are entitled to join the National Union of Students (NUS) and given the opportunity to take a variety of courses such as Personal Presentation, Personal Safety and First Aid.  The college encourages students to participate in many other areas outside of their studies including trips and events during the year.
